The
Makarska Riviera is located in Central Dalmatia. It belongs to Split -
Dalmatia County on the Adriatic Coast. The sea in this area is famous
by its natural high salinity rate and crystal dearness.
During
the months May and October, the average temperature of the sea is around
20°C. Average air temperature is 25°C during the day and about 18°C at
night.
In June and September, the sea is fairly warm 23°C, and daily temperature
of the air is around 28oC and about 20°C at night.
The temperature of the sea gets up to the 25°C over the months of July
and August. Air is as warm as 31°C during the day and about 22°C at night.
In
short, this part of Croatia has the natural beauty as one of its features
( besides numerous and historical sites ). The calm Mediterranean climate
with long, hot summers, mild and short winters without fog is truly a

In
order to enter Croatia by car, you need to have your passport and an international
drivers' license (for the driver). Parking-lots next to accommodation
units are not guarded, and parking is free of charge.

stations in Makarska are open non-stop. In inland Croatia, most of the
gas stations are open from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
